The USGBC Southwest Indiana Branch and Ivy Tech Community College present our first continuing education event of 2012:Topic: Sustainable Forest Management and FSC Certified WoodLearning Objectives:1. Describe the FSC certification process
2. Explain ways to achieve responsible forest management
3. Discuss the history of forest management
4. Discuss how fire suppression affects forests
5. Describe features of an old growth forest
6. Explain how a forest can protect watersheds

List the benefits of using sustainable wood products Date & Time: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Where: Ivy Tech Community College, Marketing and Communications Office, Conference Room 140B, 3501 First Ave, Evansville, IN. Parking: There are numerous visitor parking spaces on the West Side (Front) of the campus building. If you park in a visitor's spot, please check in at an information desk to get a free visitor's pass. Room 140B is located in the Marketing and Communications Office Room 140 located on 1st floor, Northwest Corner of the campus. Cost: Attendance at the Webinar is free to everyone.
